How Much Is It Worth?

Hi All,
Not sparking joy : (
My interests and motivations have changed in the past 2 years and I don't think rebuilding this bike is in my future. I don't have any idea of value?

Comes w original manual (in rough) but very usable condition and a box of extra parts (a gear, some handlebar perches...) and some fun stuff. Tank has been cleaned and sealed but has not had gas in it. Outside tank condition is ok.

Here is the bike, I have cleaned it up a little and I do have the seat.

Thank You

You’re in So Cal. Values there are different than here in NM. I bout a 1971 Super Rat 93A which was complete but not running and down to the seat pan. Paid $450. An Ace isn’t worth as much. That bike will need around $2000 or more in parts alone, plus whatever you figure hourly labor at. I assume there’s no title for it & it is missing all the lights to make it street legal. I wouldn’t pay more than $250-300 for it. But that’s me… :ugeek: Victor

Clarence. I was figuring $7-800 to re-chrome the tank. Chroming is getting harder find & more expensive by the minute!

Good, usable tanks are getting harder to find as well. I saw one, NOS Ace tank on FB go for $700 and Lee Fabry didn’t win it! And the tank had to be cleaned to be able to tell it was NOS!!! :ugeek: Victor

Victor the tank looks better, than most I have seen. It looks like build to ride, would not be bad. ?? $2,000 for parts would scare many a young person into just junking their hodaka, don't want that. ------ Clarence

after reading your past and present posts i think before you make a decision you should try and hook up with a hodaka club person near you and get a in person consult and see how far off you are to having a running bike sounds like you've already done some work on it. if your into bikes putting this one together will be very cool and you wont regret it. ive been working on a hodaka for darn near 2 years because stuff keeps coming up to distract me, but i know when its finished i will have a piece of history. well thats my pep talk and remember you have probably spent more money on worse things than this project ............albert
