Hey all, need some help with my Model 92. It came to me in pieces. Lots of coffee cans full of nuts and bolts. I'm trying to put the front end together and ive ran into a problem. Ive gone thru the book and schematics and cant figure out what im missing for the front axle. I have the axle going through the wheel, then a spacer, and then threading into the left side lower fork. The bottom of the fork is hitting the speedo. Im missing something to this puzzle. Any help appreciated.

Looks like you’re missing a lock washer which goes between the spacer and the fork? #8-2 in the fiche pic below.

Yeah i saw that. It doesnt show a spacer anywhere though. I think it needs another flat washer or a wider spacer. I just want the correct parts for my little puzzle.

This is what i found when i opened up the headlight bucket. I hooked the light up to a 6 v batt and it still worked! High and low beam!

The lock washer might be enough to give me some clearance though.

There are four 92 models, ace 100s was model 92. Then the 100B series model 92A, model 92B, model 92B+. the ace 100 model 92 used a lock washer and the 92A, 92B and 92B+ used a washer, as per my manuals. Your picture shows the ace 100 model 92 that corresponds to the picture victor sent. ----------- Clarence

So should their be a spacer between the speedo and left lower fork? As well as a lock washer which i'm missing? And yes it is a 1969 Model 92 Ace100. Thanks for the help

yes the spacer and lock washer, I just put one together and used two washers instead of the lock washer. I will look at mine and rethink if I need to change it. ----- Clarence -----

It’s funny if you just look at the microfiche, it only shows the lock washer. It doesn’t show the spacer on the fiche for the Speedo, the front forks or for the front wheel.
Glad to hear that adding the lock washer gave you the clearance you needed.

Yeah i was surprised the spacer wasnt shown in the book or on the schematics too. So is this like discovering a hidden element or a planet? Do i get to name the spacer and give it a part number?
