nice day. the harley took 1 st place, what are you going to do . met a gentleman had a nice visit with him said he raced hodakas in Minnesota and Wisconsin back in the day. cant remember what make bike he started with but hodaka reps asked him if he would like to race hodakas , well yes , so they got 3 combat wombats to him. he went to wisconsin for a race with his station wagon and a bike carrier on the back when he got there harley had a big van full of race bikes he said it looked like slabs of beef hanging in there. he looked at his wife and said , i think were in trouble , well he went out and did very well for himself and the one rep that was there was yelling , tell them what your riding , any way thats the reflections of old retired dirt bike racer im going to met up with him next week as he says he has 2 or three engines lots of parts and literature and would like it to go some where that it would be appreciated. hes seems like a real nice guy his wife died a few years ago and has been retired for quite a while i will make sure he gets a fair price for the items and hopefully more stories

met with klif [ cliff ] and had a nice time he says he is 82 , i dont know he sure did not look like it, still rides on the street on a Goldwing and a Pacifica. his first bike was a motobeta had trouble keeping it running when hodaka approached him. he raced from 69 till about 73, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois and Michigan . saw a few of his pictures with a super rat and trophy's. these parts have been sitting on a shelf in his shop since about 1980. the engine is a 94 wombat its bored with new piston and rings , lots of stuff the binder has lots of cool things in it to old resonators and brochures its a time capsule. i made him a offer and he held out his hand and said we got a deal. no doubt i will see him again nice guy.
