Still having clutch problems Help

My super rat has a 98 Rat engine. I have cleaned clutch and reassembled 3 or 4 times but clutch still doesn't work . It will crank with clutch lever pulled in , and will not take off just dies like you jam it in gear with using clutch. Any suggestions ... Mike Hall

Your clutch pinion bushing may be woren abit short , check its length against a new one , just a ferw thousanths is all it takes to lock up. A wat to test if its the problem if you dont have a new one on hand is just to loosen the clutch nut and try kicking it over with the clutch lever pulled in , if it kicks freely you got it, just dont runt it like that .
