Which carb would you use for this application? A 24mm with bigger main jet, a 26mm slip mount like a Toad/Model 93 carb, or a 28mm flange like a Combat Wombat? Pick one, or suggest one snd tell me why.
Alan acquired a reeded Model 94 w/o a carb. Do I’m checking in his behalf. Thx in advance!

I think it depends what you are going to use the bike for. The ability to tune it the first place. What parts you have on hand you would use to perfect tuning. My thoughts. ---------- Clarence

Do we know whether the top of the exhaust port has been raised or not? . . . and like Clarence said, what is the intended use of the machine? Trips to town? Sittin' on the seat trail riding? Gung ho standing on the pegs go fast trail riding? Other?

No street riding. Mixed trail riding mostly, and maybe some MX track riding but not at full bore all the time. At least he’s not there yet, anyway.
I recommended a Toad/03 Wombat 26mm to him. That’s what I have in my Wombat Combat. The front tire on that bike is very “light.”

OK. So I'd recommend bolting on whatever he has on hand which will bolt-up. All the carbs mentioned (24, 26, 28) will work, but will have to be re-jetted to match reed porting, other porting, exhaust system (i.e. "global" engine breathing/jetting factors). So, I'd lean toward bolting on whatchagot - any of them will work just fine for the intended use.

Sounds good. He wanted a 28mm, but I told him a 24mm, of which he has 3, would work fine! Thanks for the confirm, Captain!
