Good Evening!
I’ve been working on some web projects as of late, and wanted to get some feedback on the site layout.
Thanks for your participation. Poll will run until about Thanksgiving.

I'm thinking that it would be cool to have a section for bench racing, performance reports, general BS-ing, story telling, lying, and such. Otherwise, I'm totally cool with the current format.

. . . . and what, pray tell, do you think the current format is for?

Some folks like to have sections and organize their stuff
As a kid, I didn't even mix different foods in my stomach!
Just inquiring what folks prefer as this is the only forum I am on (and I am on too many) that just has one big section (not counting the archived section.) But if everyone prefers this format, it saves me and Dale some work.
Even if we did reorganize a bit, there is the link on the Quick links menu up top to sort by either new posts, or unread posts.

If we are considering the possibility of sections, I think the following would be nice to have!
Builds
HELP!
Vendors
Member Pics
How To’s
FAQs
For Sale/Wanted To Buy

I think having it all lumped into one basket is consistent with Hodaka's approach... keeping it simple and using basically the same bike for every different use. I kind of like it the way it is but would continue to be entertained by the forum regardless of the organizational aspect. Probably would make searching a little easier if there were separate categories though.

I do like that there is one big bucket for daily reading but I can see the benefit of different buckets for the people that pop in for help or if I want to read up on a certain topic like you mention "Performance". I'm not complaining because the search has worked for me over the years, but I have an advantage because I google for a living.
I'm just thinking out-loud here but I wonder if there is a way to have predefined tags that posters select when submitting. Then the future me could filter on predefined tags like "Wombat 94", "Performance". But that sounds like a lot of work and teaching users to select tags would be a pain. Yeah I'm just rambling over my coffee here, not sure it that is a good idea or not, but I'll leave the post anyway. I really like what you guys do and are thankful for it. I'm just fine if the site stays the same or changes. The site is in very capable hands.

You can already search by “tags” such as Wombat, or other common terms.

Yes you are right Victor that we can use search. I was just mulling how a predefined tags could be used to put posts into buckets to filter on. A predefined tag like "Performance" could catch a post that talked about carb hacks that didn't have the actual word "Performance" in it. But it would be a pain to implement so it's just a thought experiment.

At this point it is a close race with keeping it the same in a slight lead.

We're about 60/40 with keeping things as is. I may look into adding a couple of sections into which we could migrate certain topics, such as "How To" and tech tips so they would be a bit easier to browse when looking for that type of article. Leave where they are until the thread was not too active, then migrate.
