My Wombat manual suggests 30WT non-detergent oil for the crankcase.

Which is information developed and published about 40 years ago.

I'm on-board with Kelly. You can't go wrong with the BelRay gear oil. And I run it in all my Hodies.

But, I am 54 years old and I stopped developing 40 years ago. So, I am still 14 years old and back into my beloved Super Rat so all is good.

Always fun when this one comes up...

Do the folks using the Gear Saver change between each race?

Just wondering. I have never lost a tranny racing, but I am slow....

I use the same fluid that Barnett insisted I use in my Harley Clutch replacement - ATF Type F... in all the Hodakas

Good and sticky, cheaper so I'm more motivated to change it between EACH race...

BUT, I do use Gear Saver or the Like in my PE250B so go figure...

Let the opinions fly :-)

And Happy New Year to all...
