Speedo drive AC

Post by JPark »

The speedo drive that I took off my 90 has A and C stamped on it. I know the C model is for the 21" wheel and the no marking model is 19" . I can't find any reference to an AC version. ??

Given the lack of response, I'm going to assume it's been scavenged from some other kind of bike. It seems to give a reasonably approximate speedo reading so that's good enough for me.

Lack of response could be because there are very few 90's around and no one knows the answer.

the ace 90 came with part number 908956 for the ace 90 and ace 100. 928956 is listed as a replacement for the ace 90, ace 100, also 100B models 92A, 92B, and 92B+. -------- Clarence

Gee, you guys, I'm almost forced to take that drive back off and see if it's the same gearing as the 'no logo' 2 3/4 : 1 version. It does seem a bit pessimistic, but going 40 on a 90 seems faster than it is, being lower to the ground. Unless somebody says they've seen one too, I'm going to assume it came off a Tohatsu Runpet or a Lilac or whatever. Maybe a Yamaguchi?

By the way, the 90 is a hoot to ride. How can slower be more fun?
