I was given this Bike by a friend moving out of state. Now I'm moving out of California to Ashland Oregon bike is heading back towards home. Bummer no Hodaka days 20/20. Hopefully have this bike ready by 2021 Hodaka days. It seems mostly complete haven't had time to check yet it supposedly runs. This will be a fun project with my 12 year old son.

Great start. Wombats are awesome enduro/dual-purpose bikes. The DIY kickstand is pretty cool.

Bill, congrats. I have a '72 Wombat as well, great bikes and most parts are readily available from Terry at Hodaka-parts.com. Certain piston sizes have proven difficult to find but if you send a message out to the community there's usually one or two that pop up. Looks like the majority of the parts are there for you, hopefully, it'll be a rather easy build. What's your plan for it? Resto, rider...?

I ride mine to work most days and ride the local trails as well, so about 80/20 (street to trail.) Gearing is great for me on the trail but I usually top out around 55-ish on the street and it's so light and nimble. About the only modification I've done is all add voltage regulator.

Wombat
I am pretty sure all parts are original.
Milage is 1659
It was not stored from elements,or ever cleaned much. This milage is whole bike. So as far as engine goes, it should run.
I'm also realistic, but parts is parts!
At least there are parts.

Why does the pipe hang so low? Is it just not bolted to the frame? :ugeek: Victor
