If that piston was machined at the factory for reeds, I'd say standard bore piston for a painted tank Super Rat. I recall the other painted tank 100s (Road Toad and Dirt Squirt) had the tamer two-ring set-up. I hope to learn something when someone who really knows lays it down.

Not a factory reed piston, the factory pistons were very precision and not scuffed. Back then we were using reeds on the 90's. ---------Clarence

I didn't zoom in Clarence. Yep, that has all the hallmarks of a DIY reed conversion.

That's the way I "read" the photo. Factory (ART) std bore, single ring piston (toaster tank Rat) - with home-brew reed modification.
