Hello, re-introduction and thanks

Post by Stever »

Hello, I'm Steve Ransbotham, way down in Atlanta, Georgia, a lurking member of the club since late 2018. My first Hodaka was a B model back in 1971. Later amongst other brands I owned a Combat Wombat and a model 98 Super Rat, both of which I raced in Hare Scrambles (with one of the funky snail pipes on the Rat!).
In the early 2000's I got into AHRMA and the old Yahoo Hodaka Group, and in 2006 volunteered at Hodaka Days at the Mid-Ohio VMD. There I was privileged to meet Harry Taylor, Chuck Swanson, Ed Chesnut, Paul Stannard, Stu Osborne, Thal Anderson, and numerous other Hodaka folks. I especially enjoyed working the Hodaka tent there with Bob Canfield. I'll post a few photos I took there. After 2006 life detoured me away from the cycles for awhile, and my bikes gathered dust. I'm retired and back now, and have dusted off the project bikes which have faithfully waited.
I want to say a sincere thank you to the great people who have built this club and web site, it is a great resource. I realize that while it may be a labor of love, it is still lots of labor, and want you to know that it is very much appreciated. High up on my bucket list is volunteering at Hodaka Days in Athena someday in the not too distant future.

Welcome back Steve.
I hope to meet you at Hodaka Days 2021. Volunteers are always needed. Many tasks small and large!
