In trouble again. Met a fellow that worked in my hodaka shop in Kalispell in 1968. He came by and wondered if I would trade my 1972 Honda ascott for his Honda VT 1100with 22,000 miles on? Well I said bring it by and let me see it. That he did and we did trade, The VT is a cabin cruseer compaered to a Hodaka 90. I also sold him 2 Hodaha 250's, one was for parts for $750. I did tell Jill the wife I would not ride the Vt, but I had to ride it over and put it in the shop about dark. Riding down my lane on some cobbles it was like crossing a creek with slick rocks on a hodaka. Instead of going directly to the shop I rode it around my property on the pavement no helmet, but I was only going to the shop. At my age and only riding once a year at hodaka days I did not enjoy my ride It is a monster and about 750 pounds, I think it would do 40 in first gear I thought about making all the sharp turns getting into the shop, well it did find it's way into the shop. I parked it locked the shop and walked to the house, Jill wasn't home and I thought that was good luck. I tried to call her but she had not taken her phone with. I seen a shopping list on the table and knew where she was. ***###*** Jill arrived back and was not very understanding. She had heard me take off was worried and tried to follow me out of concern, but could not find me anywhere. She said SHE WAS GOING TO TAKE THE BIKE FOR A RIDE TODAY, I told her there was no lake nearby for her to run into. Well today is just another day couped up. The new bike is for sale already no Sturges for me. I did not realize a fellow could get into so much trouble in 12.5 minutes. Send sympathy to me Clarence, The next time I will wear a helmet but there is not going to be a next time She even talked about sending me to a home??
