I have a POS 94 Wombat roller that I have been picking parts off and refurbishing just to keep busy. I'm also working on making a complete post with no help from my wife or grandson.

Overnight soak in caustic to remove grease and paint. Paint remover to get the paint the caustic missed.

Four hour soak in straight muriatic acid to remove rust.

Paint foot rest stay.

Zinc plate everything else in DIY plating kit.

Wow! Great job cleaning & repainting. Did you replate the zinc yourself or send them out? :ugeek Victor

Victor, yes I plated the parts myself. If I have a few parts to do it's very handy. If I had a large batch I would take them to a pro.
