The first motorcycle race I ever rode was the Paul Bunyun north of Spokane Washington around Sandpoint Idaho. It was a crosscountry and a good one, my first race and I did enjoy it. I rode a stock ace 90 I think came in second as I remember and I knew I was hooked. It was about 1966?? Do any of you remember it or ride in it? -------------- Clarence

Well dang Clarence - I was hoping someone would chime in with info on the Paul Bunyan. I didn't get going into real dirt riding till about 1970. I don't remember even hearing of the Paul Bunyan cross country way off down here in Eastern Oregon.

I rode IESRA events crosscountry and motocross. Inland Empire Sports Riders Association, Some of the nicest trophies. Not to mention the great people. Including riding in the same races as Harry in Spokane. The fastes of them all in cross country was Hodaka dealer Mike Conners out of Darby Montana. Idaho and Spokane had good tracks one motocross at state Line. -----------------Clarence
