Unknown Hodaka Cylinder Head

Post by Dschertzer »

I was just curious about this "modified" Hodaka head. It must be for racing, but I am not sure of this. Any comments are appreciated.
Thanks,
Doug

I have one about like that. Somebody went ape$hit with a drill on a stock head. The material removal theoretically served two purposes - lightening and better heat dissipation. Did it succeed? I'll leave that to someone who knows.

Aluminum being a heat sink, I believe if you take too much away you actually loose cooling. Also. some of those holes are rather large, again taking away surface area for the heat to disipate.
