Is there a host hotel/motel for Hodaka Days? I would like the contact info to make a reservation! I’d like the name of the hotel & their ph # if possible please. Is there a special code for reservations?
What day does everything start for the 2020 Hodaka Days and how many days does it last?
Thx!
Victor

June 25 thru 28. Thurs thru Sun. Thurs is the poker run, Fri is the Bad Rock ride, Sat is the swapmeet/ bike show/ banquet, and Sun is the track day. There are other things that are held on different days, but that's the high lights. Best Western in Pendleton is normally the "host" hotel although that may not be this year. Athena itself has no lodging. 1/2 hour drive from Pendleton to Athena. Hopefully someone will update the info as needed. Camping is an option if you are so inclined.

I sleep with a CPAP so camping w/o electricity is not an option.

Victor there are allot of currant bushes in the park you could probably plug into but you must be careful of the stickers. Seriously we could get you up a small generator! Can we help? ---Clarence

Camping at the park is a blast, we have the same groups every year. I used to bring my RV, but the last 5 or so years have more fun camping in the park. Clean restrooms at the pool house. We drive 15 min to the wildhorse truck stop and use there showers, but the showers at the school or the pool house are good and free too.

The plan is to use the Best Western Pendleton Inn again, providing they can accommodate the number of rooms we need and give us competitive rates as they have in he past.
The have a new manager there an I haven't been able to get a definitive answer from her so far. We started talking in November and I've tried to contact her several times since. Apparently she's been out sick this week, but they expect her back soon.
I'll post as soon as I have something definite.

If you don't need to be at the host motel, there are a multitude of options available. Motel 6 and the Super 8 are right across the street from the BW. There are a few down in town. Any of the travel websites should be able to get you a good selection of places to stay.

I was finally able to talk to the manager today.
I hope to have some rates early next week.

I have been in touch with the operations manager and should have something Monday. Apparently there is some nasty bug going around there that's left them shorthanded.
I think it's going to be discounts base on the length of the stay and how early you book.

Well I would book ASAP as soon as I know the rates, as long as they are reasonable. Waiting patiently!

Call the motel directly and see if it's been set up yet...you should be able to get their phone number thru the Best Western website.

If you can wait, I think you may save up to $100 or so.
Also, if you book now, the hotel loses visibility that you are there for Hodaka Days and it dilutes our negotiating power for next year.
I can appreciate you being anxious to book and I know this is taking a lot longer than usual, but I can guarantee you they will still have rooms available for several weeks.

I looked them up on line. The calendar says there is no availability of rooms for the dates of Hodaka Days. I’m assuming that’s because of the room block. Let me know as soon as you have confirmation. I know what it’s like. I’ve planned several MC gatherings myself!

Finally got things all worked out.
The rates will remain the same as last year for a single king - $99.95 plus tax. Two queens will be a little more expensive at $110.95 + tax.
If you want to compare these rates, make sure you are comparing for the same time of year. Rates are cheaper now than they will be in the summer.
The hotel has a swimming pool (outdoor), exercise room, extensive continental breakfast. Also soup in the evenings.
Our group # is 9G1AC5M4. Right now you will need to call them at 541-276-2135 and give them the group number or tell them you are with the Hodaka Days group. The group number isn't set up on the Internet yet, but they are working on it. First come, first serve. When they're gone, they're gone.

For the new people, across the street from the BW is a good restaurant, there is also a gas station on the corner. Rt 11 ends on top of the hill where the motel is, so in the morning you take 11 down the hill, follow the signs for 11 north and it'll take right up to Athena. Lots of things to see in town if you have the chance.

It’s a nice, clean, courteous motel. Pool is very nice & the kiddies go away after dark. Decent breakfast, all told, hard to beat. Strongly recommended, plus you can share breakfast or by-the-pool evening beers with fellow Hodakphiles!
Better hurry, Max, the sands of time continue to flow, we’re not getting any younger, and there’s nowhere that offers more action from Thursday through Sunday!

Hey Bob, I am totally in...for 2021. I just started a new job so once again, I'm low man on the totem pole for vacation scheduling. I have requisitioned the last week of June off for 2021 and will be there - come hell or high water. I live in Iowa so I'm hoping to get at least a couple race bikes and one street-legal trail bike out there since Thrown usually comes through this neck of the woods. If that craps out, I will take you up on the scooter offer. This year I will once again be living vicariously through the attendees.

Any more news in room rates at the BW? When you go on line it says there are no vacancies. I’m assuming that’s because the group has a large room block?
