Tank has been sanded smooth in the damaged paint areas and the clear coat sanded to have enough tooth. But it’s too COLD to paint. Victor

Today I got the primer on, but it’s dropped to 42*F so no color until after I get back from Colorado to pick up more Hodaka stuff from Paul Schwarting tomorrow! Victor

Got the red paint on it today! Clear coat tomorrow!!!

Found a couple of bubbles which collapsed in the red paint. Had to spot sand, primer and re-spray red today. Clear coat tomorrow! Victor

Got the clear coat done today! Two well built up coats! Enough, I’m sure, to be able to buff to a high, smooth, shiny gloss! Almost an entire 8 oz. can of clear coat! Can’t wait for the decals to arrive from Terry! Victor

I haven’t in the past, but I may with these! Here’s the bike all back together with the decals on the air box too!

One thing I haven’t done is repainted the battery cover. But it was in such good shape and demonstrates how well the Chevy Victory Red matches a sample of existing paint! Victor
