I’m finally able to get around to posting some pictures of my bike. I’ll see if google docs allows image sharing.

She needs some cleaning and touch up painting, but she’s mechanically sound and complete. It’s also sporting the new battery cover I received from Matt Glascock. A huge thank you.

Hi Paul. I was able to open the pictures by "right clicking" and "opening link in a new window" whatever the hell all that means. Anyway, the bike looks great. All of the green parts look showroom fresh in the photos. Did you repaint and decal all of it or something else. How did you get the shine on the front fender? The Road Toad is such a fun bike to ride. The 100cc mill is remarkable peppy. Looks like a little paint work and you're done. Awesome. I'd try to get that pipe burned out, prepped and painted to halt the rusting process at your earliest convenience before you end up welding up a bunch of pinholes. Great bike. Loads of fun in store for you! I'm glad the battery cover worked out and you're very welcome. Thank you for supporting the Hodaka Club!
Best,
Matt

As for the paint and decals, it’s all original. The front fender is in great shape and naturally shined. I plan on painting up the engine and exhaust to clean it up some. Not sure of the best way to burn out the deposits in the exhaust. I’m leaning towards a heat gun, rather than fire pit.

I've tried the fire pit maneuver. It works just fine but it is a bit messy with all the ashes, carbon, and what not. I use a MAPP torch and air compressor. Once you get all the oil residue cooking and hit the lumen, its flame thrower time. Make sure you do it in a fire safe area because lots of glowing embers and such will issue forth when you get on the air gun.

Picture links work just fine for me from both my phone and laptop. Perhaps due to being logged into Google?
You have a sweet little rider there. My son has spotted a Road Toad driving around his neighborhood. Dutch Hill by chance?

During the summer, yes. My daughter lives off of 131st on Dutch Hill, and I rode there a couple of times from Bunk Foss.
