Anyone going to Barber Vintage Festival? I'm considering trying to go on Friday or Saturday. Haven't been in several years. I loved the swap meet. Is it still huge?

Have some parts I'm thinking about getting rid of.

Barber Vintage festival is at the Barber complex in Birmingham, Alabama. Do a Google search for more info. I went in '011, had a good time. Haven't made it back yet. Word is they expanded the swapmeet area.

It's a bucket list item. You need to go at least once. Just like Hodaka Days, needs to done at least once.

I went for the first time last year. The swap meet was huge but stuff was priced at a premium. The whole facility is absolutely top notch and beautiful with more than I could take in for the three days I was there. The road race paddock was really neat with an overload of cool bikes.

Awesome view of the roadrace track from the hillsides. I went several times and never had a chance to go through the museum. Too much time spent at the MX and swapmeet.

From what I've heard the museum can take several days all by itself.

They have a PABATCO Cotton on display and rotate Rozee’s Yamaguchi’s. It’s a dream experience.

Wow - that Cotton is nearly mythical. I've never seen one in person.

Matt, here you go. Spoiler alert, 1963 CC. So many wonderful restorations.

Wow! Beautiful. Thanks for posting! Holy smokes! Nice backdrop (Greeves, Montessa, Elsinore, a fleet of Huskys and on and on). I see what Pop is talking about.

Matt,
At any one time, more than 900 motorcycles are on display in the museum. The total collection numbers over 1,600. My comments were literal.

No kidding, Pop! Kid in a candy store stuff right there. I'd like to listen in on the discussion among the curators when it comes time to rotate the displays. "Should we go with the Tony D Zuki or the Roger De Suki?" "Wait a minute - its been two months since we had Torsten's Husky out and we still need to find a spot for Bad Brad's world championship bike." Decisions decisions...

If you've never been inside the museum, pictures don't really do it justice. The place is massive with lots of bikes on display. Leans toward roadrace to some extent, but there are some really cool machines there. Plan at least a whole day to see it. ( and I mean a whole day- doors open till doors close) my only real beef is there is no onsite food. ( at least at my last visit).
