Great story! After 5 years of working in Hodakas, I’ve made my decision to finally go to Hodaka Days next year! I’ll be bringing my 3 Grandsons & their bikes as well as my Combat Wombat, for us all to ride the Bad Rock together!

I’m usually out on an annual motorcycle ride to somewhere in the country, but next year I’m hosting it in my home town, from June 14-20 so I will be able to pack up and go to Hodaka Days 2020!!! So looking forward to meeting forum members in person and seeing all the bikes get put through their paces!

Here they are in order of restore from first to most current! :ugeek: Victor

The Red Toad is at my nephew’s house as it’s his bike. I gave him possession and title last Fall when it was complete! :ugeek: Victor

Glad you like it! It was a fun build! Not a Road Toad color, but still in the Hodaka family! And HE wanted Red!!! :ugeek: Victor

Victor, you are carrying forward the loooong tradition of making the Hodaka however you want it to be. A friend of mine just finished a Road Toad with green frame, motor, carb, hubs, rims, bars, etc. and black tank, fenders, air box, and battery cover. Basically making everything green, black and everything black, green. I wish I would have thought of that as, and I assure you, that bike is as cool as a toad-green cucumber - or maybe a lighter green zucchini. One of the advantages of working at a body shop with a KILLER paint booth for sure.

Well, Mateo, my middle grandson who owns the Green Toad, REALLY liked the OEM Toad colors! He still does! As long as he is happy with it, so am I! :ugeek: Victor

That is really what matters, isn't it? Actually, what really REALLY matters is how cool it will be when he teaches HIS grandson how to ride it and tells him the story of how he and HIS grandpa built it. Now that's cool!!
