Is this a Model B headlight, or a Model W(asp)??? Yikes!!! :ugeek: Victor

Seems the DPO decided to move the safety switch to the upper section of the headlight. Or he removed it completely.

He put a 3 position toggle switch on the top of the bucket for headlight off in the center, low beam on one side & high beam on the other side. So he drilled a new hole, to mount this switch in the top side of the bucket. GRRRRR!!!

The Ace B is supposed to have the Hi/Low switch with the horn button. So I need connection information for this switch.

There is a green, red & grey (or maybe faded light blue?) wire coming off the harness into the head light bucket. I’m figuring the green is power to the head light, red I don’t know, but there are two choices for it on the switch and the other must be for the grey (or maybe a faded light blue?)

It will be awhile before I have to connect the wiring. I also have an Ace High/Low switch with a horn button, which I can add.

Also, I will see where this leads me question wise. I’ll provide pics of the switch, but it looks like it’s only a light switch & not a safety switch! :ugeek: Victor

look at the wire'n diagrams. When things are altered we would have to study how it should be wired, study think about it and review it again. That is what I would have to do. ----------------Clarence

Victor, WASP,s are quite common in old stored, out of service HODAKA parts and pieces, Kill them and move on, I think its the color of the paint that attract,s them to HODAKA. Now as Clarence says, go to Hodaka-parts INC or my web site and find the wiring info you need, and study and check it three time,s before hooking up all. The info is out there, just take a moment and look for it on our sites, as well as this forum. The questions asked have been address,ed several time,s over the years. You are not the only one with issues when working on 50year old machines. Good luck with project, it coming along. Bruce

Victor, if you're interested, a good weld shop can repair that hole where the switch was for short money. I had an Ace 90 speedo aperture closed for a buddy who really liked the shape of the headlight bucket for chopper build he was working on. It cost me $10.

Clarence & Bruce. I have the wiring diagrams in my Ace 90/Super Rat/Ace 100/Ace 100 B manual. It’s why I stated it will be a while before I see what I have questions wise.

Matt, I may take a shot at welding it myself. Depends on what I decide to do with the switch & it’s location. I will likely get a replacement safety switch, close the hole on the bucket, and use the light/horn switch I have. :ugeek: Victor
