Kudo's to Thal for a 69' SR roller frame. Does anyone have correct M- motor or inner, stamped case to work with? 1969's as I understand engine numbers started with 1001 and were 2800, so ended around M-3800. Would be a bid help to build a good rider. Have most major remaining parts. Thx!

I don’t know where you are located but there is a 1969 Super Rat listed on Portland, Oregon Craig’s List for $200. It is very rough but it might have the engine case you are looking for.

Dan: Where the Engine serial number for the 1969 Super Rat ends and 1970 starts is one thing that I tried to find out in this site. Paul Stannard replied that the information DOES NOT EXIST. 1969 Engine Number Starts at M1001. 1971 Engine starts at M5750. Hopefully at some point in time, the Exact number will be found. 2,800 Super Rats were made in 1969: Start at M1001 and add 2800. That`s 3801.The problem is that the way they stamped things at the Engine Factory WE DON`T KNOW! So, where 1969 stops and 1970 starts that M code we just don`t know! Yet. Joe

Joe where do you get the 2,800? We know the 40004 is wrong. If we go by model 93, 93A, 93b it could be easier as hodaka did not build by year. Is there a problem with engine stamping? -------------Clarence

The Strictly Hodaka Chart shows 2,800 Super Rats were built in 1969. Is it correct? I do my best to be more correct than a broken Clock . A broken Clock is right 2 times every Day! Joe.

No the chart is not correct, in this area of the chart. Not fair to say something is wrong, if you don't identify what is wrong and what it would take to correct it. We know the last frame number 40004 is wrong as I have Super Rat frame numbers that don't fit anywhere on the chart. To date I tend to agree with the chart listed on page 62 in the book HODAKA by Ken Smith. That chart was from PABATCO to dealers, dated November 22, 1976. I think at that time they had all the records. Clarence

Sorry to be MIA on thread- travel and log in challenges last wk. I’d talked to Vancouver WA bike seller- his frame & motor are Ace 100. Listed as SR b/c said bike titled as such - odd for non- street legal bike. Thanks everyone for the input. The frame no is B37348, an early 69’. Assuming M-motors numbered consecutively, a ~#M-1144 is ideal but anything bet M-1001 to 2000 is great to have. Does anyone have one for sale? Plz PM me if do. Thx
