January Combat Wombat!!!

Hi guys! I lucked out and beat Nate to a January issue Combat Wombat!!!

It’s going to be MY PERSONAL RIDER!!! Now I’ll be able to ride with the boys. And it’s being delivered to me by the owner who lives in Amarillo and just happens to be traveling to Santa Fe in a little less than 2 weeks!

I’m so excited! The bike is complete except for a filter & filter cover. So I’ll be searching a CW filter box cover, if anyone has one they can part with.

I really lucked out because Nate wanted it to do a factory restore for Hodaka Day’s, but it’s MINE!!! Nate, if you read this, sorry you didn’t get it, but.....I just got lucky!!! Victor

PS: Is there anything special I should know about the January issue Combat Wombat? I’d hate to bug Nate to ask him! Victor

It looks like the carb is missing as well, but those original stainless steel fenders look to be in good shape. The tank looks good as well.

He has the carb and will bring it & the throttle assembly and anything else he has which may be for the bike! I was worried about trying to find a 28mm flange Mount Mikuni!!! Whew!!! Victor

Good news! I got an air cleaner cover from a fellow in Fresno! And Bruce is sending me a filter retainer! So there we go!!! YIPPIE!!! Victor

Could be, Matt! He was telling me he was getting rid of the Squirt & the CW because he had 23 Maicos!!! I thought I was getting excessive with 6 Hodakas in the family! Victor

23!! That's quite a herd. One of the vintage bike guys I swap parts and lies with is a Maico man. Based on his experiences and expenditures we have it REALLY good in Hodaka land.

Nah! I gave it to you fair & square! It just means I have to find another when mine is done! The bike will arrive Next Sunday. I gave him 50% via PayPal & he gets the other 50% when he delivers it on Sunday! Maybe someone will send me a Combat Wombat T Shirt like I did for you??? LOL!!! Victor

I talked to the seller today. He will be here in Santa Fe, with my CW a week from today!!! Gave him a 50% deposit today & he gets the balance when he gets here! Just one week!!! I’m stoked!!! Victor

You'll love it. While my heart belongs to my screamin' reamin' Super Rat, I must confess I have a little more fun on a Combat Wombat. You can really tell the difference when you grab a handful. When I race myself on the clock, my lap times (MX) are always around 6-8 seconds faster on the CW.

LOL! I have a long sleeve, blue T Shirt that just has the Hodaka logo in the middle of it! So I can wear that one! Victor
