Hodaka Road Toad

Hi, I'm new here, I just bought a 1977 Hodaka Road Toad in fair condition this morning . It has compression but no spark. Shouldn't be too hard to get running again. I'm looking for some parts (points, condenser, carb to air box boot and air filter). I'm also looking for a Hodaka service manual. Any help would be great!
My first dirt bike was a Hodaka Dirt Squirt!

I tried to order a boot last week. out of stock. I got one off eBay it had cracks but not torn throigh. I put half a dozen coats of some rubber adhesive letting tack dry between coats. Then I covered the whole boot with electrical tape. It should work until I get a new one. Maybe will work for you as well.

Black 3M weather strip adhesive works well and stays pliable.

I have taken some black RTV and used it to fill in the cracks. It has worked well for me even on air boots! :ugeek: Victor

If you look at the following topic Road Toad Lighting Issue from April 2, 2018, the second post has a wiring diagram.

Let me know if you have any lighting/wiring questions. I’ve done 2 Road Toads in the past year & a half. Be glad to talk to you about any of the “funny things” in the Toad wiring! :ugeek: Victor

Anyone have the newest (last) version of the Hodaka service manual? I don’t need a original copy. Just a copy or pdf. I just need it for torque specs, clearances, and ignition values. Thanks

I got the Road Toad running yesterday! It ran pretty good for sitting for so long! It’s gots some power for a 100cc bike! I need to clean some rust in the tank clean the carb. Need to replace air boots, I can see daylight in the air box the boot is so dry rotted!

The clutch wouldn’t disengage until I rode it around for awhile. There is a little oil leak on the left side after running it a bit.
