Ahhh! My friend, Paul Schwarting, contacted me and said he had another Ace for me!

So my grandson Diego & I jumped in my truck yesterday morning at 7:45, and we drove another 5 hours from Santa Fe, NM to Dolores, CO to pick this baby up! Then we returned home by 7:15 pm! This one is going to my 14 year old great nephew, Eric “Bubba” Gallegos! :ugeek: Victor

Here’s a tip for those hauling an Ace 100 in a Chevy Crew Cab truck with a 6’ bed. If both tires have all the air let out, you can pull the front wheel tightly against the front of the bed, and, with the rear tire fully empty you can close the tailgate! Just an observation!

It was nice driving home 5 hours from Southern Colorado to Santa Fe without having the tailgate down & I could put boxes of bike parts inside the truck bed with no worries! :ugeek: Victor

Well, we will see how much he actually gets to help me! He lives about 65 miles away and isn’t old enough to drive yet!

I saw him at my niece & nephew’s graduation party and he said he had seen my posts about the Hodies on Facebook. I asked him which one he liked best and he immediately responded “The one with the chrome tank!”

Once his dad said it was OK, I posted here on the forum & on FB that I was looking for another Ace & Paul Schwarting, the guy I bought the Toads & the other Ace from told me he had another Ace he would sell me for $300.

I got the roller, nearly 2 complete motors, a better set of extra forks, better than the ones on the roller, an Ace fuel tank, exhaust and a lot of “here’s some extra stuff thrown in,” from Paul because he is 77 years old now. He broke his leg racing, at age 70, so he promised his wife he wouldn’t race any more! The only big items I need for it are a stainless front fender & a seat or seat pan. I’ll be hollering at Bruce soon!

BTW, for anyone who’s interested, he has a couple of Blue Super Combat frames, another black Road Toad frame, and a black Wombat (Model 94 or 94A) frame too! He also has an Ace 90, but says he wants to hang on to that one! He lives just outside Dolores Colorado, about 5 hours North of me. I live in Santa Fe, NM. :ugeek: Victor
