Picked up a Set of Wheels

I went to take some scrap metal to the recycling place not far from my house. I cashed in $8.80 worth of old metal swings.

When he gave me the money, I asked him what he wanted for the set of dirt bike wheels he had sitting off to the side. He said $10.00, so I gave him the money back & pulled a dollar out of my wallet!

I loaded the wheels and he asked me if I wanted the handle bars too. I said sure!

So I got all the old swing metal out of my back yard and got a set of wheels with complete hubs & brakes and a set of chrome handlebars with cclutch & brake perches & throttle assembly with cable & slide still attached, and the rear wheel has the sprocket, bushings, axle spacers & nuts.

The rear wheel is a 16” & the front wheel is an 18” and the rear wheel has all the brake hardware on it as well!

I’m not 100% sure but I’m guessing they are from a Yamaha, based on the bottom of the light switch housing (see pic). I’m guessing these are off an old DT1?

And I leave Thursday morning to go back up to see Paul Schwarting to buy another Ace 100 from him! I’m hoping he has an extra frame I can snag too! :ugeek: Victor

If I'm not mistaken, the DT-1 had an 18" rear wheel and a 21" (maybe 19") front wheel.

Most likely a small bore street bike, like a 400, or smaller.

OK, my mistake. I thought the DT-1 was the Yamaha 100 enduro. The 100 was the LT2. :ugeek: Victor
