Just screw 2”x4” together and make a box/frame in any size you desire- obviously something the size that’ll hold a Hodaka motor. We use 2”x6” at Ducati, as the motors are bigger and lay deeper, depending on what position you put them in.

I took a piece of plywood, 3/4", laid an empty case half on it, marked where the shafts would be and drilled holes thru the plywood with a hole saw. The screwed 2"x2" feet on both ends. Works for assembly on either side.

On the Wombat shop manual, there is a template for making the exact engine assembly frame you want.

Look in the back issue of the Resonator, can’t remember what one. I posted how to do it.

Oh I did not show the photo with the measurements, you need to join the club. Now that’s worth 24 bucks.

Here's mine, 11" x 14", 3/4 ply. Once you assemble the core motor, you can flip it over and use the correct holes to lay it flat to assemble the clutch side. Works handy.

I learned from an old sheet rock installer to put lipstick on parts to mark where to cut. You never need to measure & it’s always in the right place! :ugeek:

Well, some folks see it as silly or funny, but when you’ve got to cut out a square hole on sheet rock for an outlet box, it works like a charm! :ugeek: Victor
