Hello,

I'm looking for information on a Ace 90. I found this in a barn in Tioga, Pennsylvania. I am looking to restore it and ride it. The frame number is A5657 and the motor number is P5609. I'm trying to find out what year it is; I have an idea that its somewhere between 1964 and 1967. Also I would like to know if it has the correct forks on the front end. If you have any other information I'd appreciate it, I am new to Hodakas'.

built about the first part of November 1965. Has a much more modern front end than the 90, may not be Hodaka. not hodaka clutch and brake handles and brackets, Newer shocks, front fender and bracket. Stock would have had 17 tires front and back missing the chain gaurd, chain guide. Good looking machine. ---------------Clarence

Look like Ceriani forks, and the fender mount looks like a Penton unit. Maybe Betor forks as an alternate option. Tioga, Pa, not far from me.

The fork legs look like roadrace forks and quite possibly be 30mm. If the fender bracket is Penton it should have a KTM logo on one end or the other depending on if it's mounted correctly. The wheels look to be the same size, so maybe just the forks and trees were changed.

The forks are what we called baby Cerianis. They are 28mm tubes. I sold and used several of these forks in the day. As I recall, I ordered them from Webco at the time. Seals are available but the boots are hard to find.

Looks like they still have the clamps around the boots, nice touch.

hey guys thanks for all the info. this bike was built nov. 65 so is it a 1966 model or 1965. I guess the front forks would be cerianis the only thing I can see on them is on the clamp that goes around rubber fork wiper it has BREVTTI ROMA BLOK 49 stamped on them they are 28mm. bike has 18 inch rear wheel & 19inch front, it has wrong stat plate & flywheel appears to be off a 71-72 super rat but it is working , wrong handlebar wrong levers, wrong shocks so I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this bike it is a long way from the stock little dirt bike I thought it was. I did get it running and seems to be a peepy little thing for a 90, any more info. on it I'm all ears. thank you all who took time to respond to me

Even if it's not stock you can still make a nice little rider out of it. The Cerianis are an upgrade as are the rear shocks. You could change the bars and levers to the stock set up, and fit an air cleaner. Or......

Here's some seal numbers for the front forks when you need them. Two per side, Four total. This will save us some grief later when you ask me the question and I don't remember. lol. Have fun!
