Hello Hodaka Community. First post. Been stalking you all for a week or so since I picked up my first Hodaka. It appears to be an early model Ace 90 based on a frame tag showing A5508. Am I correct here? Maybe a '66?

Anyways, its going to be a fun project and I'm really appreciating all the good info put out there by a great supporting fanbase.
Some details on the Ace....One owner, 1300 original miles, last licensed in 1968! Gas tank is still almost full and doesn't appear to have any rust inside. So far so good. Missing a battery and headlight. Tank and bars needs to be rechromed, some rusty spots on the frame need to be fixed, but other than that it appears to be in great shape.

I'm completely new to Hodaka's but am really enjoying the history and community. Big bonus is that I live north of Seattle and Hodaka Days takes place about 5 hours from me. Sounds like a great reason for a road trip this summer with the Ace 90 restored.

Just wanted to say Hi and see how close I am on the production year.

Ha, first answer. Bought my first Ace 90 in 1965. I just had to get that in there and welcome!

Welcome! You’ll find this place a wealth of knowledge about these bikes! I know I have! I’m finishing up my 4th restoration, a 1975 Road Toad Model 99!

The Aces are really cool bikes! I restored a 1971 Ace 100 B+ as well!

Welcome again and ask away!!! :ugeek: Victor

Actionverb! Good to have you aboard! Finding a one owner 50 year old bike - of any brand - in the Seattle area which isn't a rust-bucket is an amazing find!! See you at Hodaka Days!

Thanks for the info and support. Not planning on really getting into the project until spring as I dont have a garage, but we'll see how long I can hold off.

It looks fairly complete, which is good! Some of the guys here have used a rechroming Shop, which, I believe, is in Salt Lake City? Ask and be sure but the prices were extremely reasonable! :ugeek: Victor
