Hi all I'm very new the the whole Hodaka group. I was given a Steen with a Hodaka ace 100 motor. I can find all the information on the motor, but any information on the frame is hard to find. Any help on information about the frame would be great. The Steen has the leading link suspension. Also the Hodaka looks like it has some sort of compression release.

Info on Steen frames is in very short supply unless you find a ex dealer or real fan of the brand. What kind of info are you looking for?

The info I'm looking for is how the seat is mounted. Are all Steen frames ALSPORT's? Are the shocks available to purchase?

Seat should have a bracket on the front that fits a crossbar behind the gas tank and bolts on the bottom that go thru holes in a cross piece in the frame. Not all Steen's are Alsport, but they will be the most plentiful. Original shocks you probably won't find, I used mini bike shocks from Northern Tool on mine.

There are some Steens / Alsport fans at oldminibikes.com. You might find some info there.

I'd bet it could peel the paint off the Red Toad if you were riding behind it Victor :-)

I refer to those pipes as a "Bassini" style.

Dan, it also looks a bit like a Torque Engineering "Competition Only" model. Its been my fave after market pipe, but it is roundly hated by everyone I know for its eyeball shattering exhaust note.

Sure looks like an old Bassani we had for another Yamaha when I was younger! :ugeek: Victor
