Anyone have or know a source for a 1972 Super Rat 93B exhaust pipe? Seems to be an elusive part.

That's because they are. Probably because ding dongs like me took them off back in the day and replaced them with aftermarket race pipes. They were quite heavy. Also, most ding dongs like me didn't realize that one day they would be rare and insanely valuable so they were tossed or chopped. Hodaka was in its death throes when I acquired my first bike (72 Super Rat) in 1977 (my weak excuse for tossing it in the metal bin at work). I have a '72 Super Rat with a Torque Engineering "Competition Only" racing pipe on it now but am in the process of modifying a Ace 100 B+ (M92B+) to fit the 72 Super Rat. You might have better luck finding an Ace 100B+ pipe and modifying it as I'm doing. They look very similar. You can keep your eyes peeled for a Torque Engineering pipe. They are insanely loud but excellent expansion chambers.

I finally found me a great 93B pipe on Ebay for a decent price. Its taken months and months of checking ebay several times daily for one. I snatched it up as soon as it came up. Its a good one also. Not much wrong with it. I have several 93B bikes but they did not come with the correct pipes. They both had 93A pipes on them for some reason. When I was a kid, around 14 years old. I had a 93A bike that I road daily after school with that open expansion chamber. Man that thing was loud. I remember walking around the bike and when you got behind the pipe with it running it actually caused pain to your ear drums. I guess that's why I am hard of hearing now.
Just keep your eyes out on ebay. Sooner or later one will pop up.

Another thing, You could probably use a 93A pipe and weld an ace 100b spark arrestor assembly onto it and you would have a 93B pipe, Check it out by looking at photos and I believe you would have a good likeness if you did this.

I have considered building a 93B pipe as you indicated. I have the original pipe but the spark arrestor was cut off and a stinger welded on, effectively making it a 93A pipe. The irony!

Yes that is ironic. That's probably what happened to my pipes on my 93B's. If you decide to weld the 100b silencer and spark arrestor onto your 93A pipe, be sure to also put on the bolting bracket before you put the new parts on so you can fasten the pipe correctly to the frame. That bracket will not come off and on once the silencer is welded on. Good luck
