No Heart Attack!!!

OK. Met with the Cardiologist yesterday afternoon. He said the same thing again. He added "you didn't get a free ride," stating that I have coronary artery decease but not coronary artery blockage. Lydia asked him point blank, " So did he have a heart attack or not?" And he replied, "There was no evidence of blockage, therefore there was no evidence of a heart attack." So that was an emense relief.
I'm going to go ahead & have my knee scoped on Friday. Hopefully, this will allow me to become more active again.
After the knee scope, he wants me to start on Crestor, even though I've had issues with the other statins in the past. He wants me to start on it low dose & take it 3 days a week, initially and build up to a daily dose to see if I can tolerate it. The statin style meds help with both the reduction of plaque in the blood vessels and make them "slicker" on the inside so plaque has a more difficult time sticking to the artery walls. Here's hoping I can tolerate this one. Not so good with the other 4 I've tried. Wish me luck!
Im just glad I got the best results possible. And I'm thrilled with the answer he gave Lydia! Victor
