Another Paint Question

Did the original orange plastic fenders on the models 97 and 98 come painted from the factory or were they just orange with no paint? The two bikes that I have, one has paint (top only) and the other no paint. Also, has anyone tried using the Preval paint sprayers, and can you do a decent job with them? Thanks. JackM

I don't know anything about Preval sprayers, but I do know the plastic fenders came unpainted.

Hello JackM, I have used the Prevail sprayers on small touch up work. They work well as long as your paint is thinned properly. I suggest that you warm up the can in some very warm water before spraying with. It will increase the pressure so what. The longer you spray with it, the can starts to cool down and loose pressure. Keeping a warm towel wrapped around the can, slows this down some. If you need more than two cans, I would buy a cheap touch up gun at harbor freight. You will have more control with the paint and air pressure too. Richard
