Oil pump restrictor

I am currently working on a 99 Road toad restoration. Upon dissasembling the oil injection system I noticed something blocking the feed oil line to the intake manifold. It is about an inch from the manifold connection. I am suspecting that this is a flow restrictor. Is this correct?

Brian the oil line comes out of the oil pump and goes directly to the rubber intake manifold. The only connection is the banjo bolt at the manifold. I am maybe not understanding your question properly or maybe someone added something to that line that did not belong there ??
Do you see it in the illustrated parts drawing ?

After re-reading my original post I realize I wasn't very clear. The restriction is inside the oil line. I thought it might be some sort of a flow restrictor. I managed to fish it out by squeezing the oil line and using needle nose pliers. It was a nail about 1/2" long that had had the pointed end cut off. I guess the previous owner had insterted it into the line to disabled the oil injection.
