Happy First Day of Spring Hodaka Folk! Here in Santa Fe the fruitless plums are flowering & so are the Forsythias! Wife & I cleaned the front yard today too! It got up to a balmy 75*F today! It's still 73 now at 6:55 pm! Went out for a bike ride to pick up the RT cylinder, wearing just a T Shirt! What a great day!!! Motor is together too & ready to drop into the Red Toad frame! Hope you guys are riding too or at least soon! Victor

First day of Spring and I came down with a horrid head/chest cold. Temps in the 85-ish.

Your breaking my heart. 35 degrees with a wind chill of 25. My Hodaka projects are on hold for at least a week or 2.
I did buy a couple of license plate frames for 2 of my vehicles. The old white ones were faded. I used the same font that I used for my trials bike logos. Batman font.

I think now I would rather be young and stupid as I am old and forgot what wise was. --Clarence I like your scooter!

Richard, I can understand your pain. This morning my Xterra thermometer read minus thirteen on the way to work. That's in Canuck degrees celsius so I guess about 9 degrees F. By mid afternoon we were up to a balmy minus three or about 27F.
We were warmer in early February. The weather? She's pretty messed up
Colds are no fun either Bill, knock on wood, so far I've avoided them while many around me have suffered. I had a turn last year though.
Good luck getting over yours soon. A guy I work with swears that alcohol consumption works for him. I don't know if it actually cures him but I suppose it could ease the symptoms? Or maybe allow him to forget he has the cold? As they say on TV, your results may vary...

While it is a little bit on the spendy side . . . there IS a sure-fire cure for a cold. It involves a minimum 1 hour snorkel trip (or scuba dive) per day in tropical ocean water for one week (two weeks is better). Alcohol consumption is optional, but recommended - in moderation of course. Subject to scheduling conflicts, I'll tag along to make sure you "take the medicine" without fail on a daily basis. (Just trying to help.)

Boy oh boy! I had to go and say something about the great weather we were having. Yes WERE!

Yesterday I weed whacked and mowed the back yard. Put down fertilizer an tested/repaired the sprinklers.

Today there was a 30% chance of rain predicted. Well that 30% turned into rain mixed with snow! It's dropped to 37* F so far.

I'm supposed to drive to Phoenix tomorrow! Hope it passes! I'm sure it will warm back up in a few days. Glad I only turned the heat off on the thermostat!

Yep Matt. It was a bit warmer this morning, but the ski area got 19" of new snow last night! So much that they decided not to close this Sunday and hold out until April 2! I'm in Phoenix now. Got here about 3:30 local time. It was 75 today, cooled off here too. My mom said it was 98^F several days last week! Glad it cooled off before we got here! Be home Monday evening. Hoping my exhaust manifold will be here by then! Victor

We're getting blasted with rain, rain, and more rain. The river is high and all the bottom land is flooded - as usual. I wouldn't care except that is where all our riding land and the area's best vintage bike-friendly MX and hare scrambles tracks are. First race weekend is in three weeks. I hope it dries up a lot by then or it is going to be hellishly muddy. My sister lives in the Phoenix area. Maybe I should move there!

It's been warm but not hot here in Apache Junction, outside Phoenix. Movie tonight, watching Hacksaw Ridge. Leaving in the morning to drive mom back to Albuquerque, & then home to Santa Fe! Parts should be there when I get back, I hope! Victor

Hacksaw Ridge is an excellent movie. Heartbreaking, buy excellent nonetheless.

I envy you giuys. Here I am with at least 2 feet of snow on the Ground muddy as hell.I can't even get my boat out of my garage to give me more room to play with my bikes. send some of that great weather to Montana right Taber

Don't feel bad Rob! We are down in the mid 50's this afternoon with another snow storm opportunity pushing its way in! It was in the mid 70's 2 weeks ago, then rained/snowed in time for my trip to Arizona to drive my mom home. Then it got colder here. It's supposed to start warming back up and the snow leaving after Tuesday. Fortunately for me I live on the southwest side of town, further away from the mountains. So it doesn't always snow as often here as compared to downtown, where they are in the foot hills! Victor

Well Mother Nature decided to play an April Fools joke on us here in Santa Fe! It's SNOWING, AGAIN!!! Just started at my house a few minutes ago..... Victor

My Fruitless Flowering Plum was in full bloom too. It will be fine. The snow didn't stick around nor to the ground. Clear skies today but still a bit windy. And it's almost 40*F here just before 10:00 a.m. Temps will go back up as the days progress! Victor

This is definitely an early Spring thing. I shot this minutes ago just after they finally hatched last night. A bit early, things are way ahead of schedule! OK, not Hodaka talk but it does show that riding time is here. How's that?
