First Ride

Today we were finally treated to a nice spring like day. Temp is around 40F and the sun is out making it feel a lot warmer. My driveway is still ice and snow covered but the road is bare for a stretch so I've been able to take my first ride. The bike is working great! This is the first of many "break in" rides so I wasn't pushing it and only clocked 1.2 miles but it feels good to know that so far all is working as it should.

Hey Ken, Upon seeing your snowy first ride report, which is always a good sign of Spring, I thought I'd better report in from Kansas where it was in the 80s yesterday and forecasted 85F today! It actually got into the 80s the last of February starting everything blooming. Of course we had a damaging freeze after that but everything is still weeks ahead except me. No first ride yet but thanks for reminding me that it is time! Good idea, I should fire something up today!

Thanks guys. Yep, we've had a very strange winter as well with record breaking high temps in February and record breaking lows in March. At this point even the people who like winter are fed up with it. Bring on spring!!!
