My uncle always wanted wanted a "Hodaka 2 stoke with the chrome top tank" as he told me at thanksgiving. I want try and make this dream a reality for him because he's an awesome guy... But I don't anything about this bikes. I'm gonna need some help. I have vintage 2 stroke Vespas and some models are really difficult to get parts for. I want to avoid that and get an idea about a price point. I think going full on project would be too radical but I could do a little work if need be. Thanks in advance for any help/advice!

Where are you located? Do you want off-road or street legal? If you have any skills you can bring dead one to life. Easy to get most all parts.

I'm in San Francisco but my uncle is on the central coast by San Luis Obispo. I'm thinking he wants street legal. It's cool that parts are available. That would be the deal breaker for me and my uncles dream. Ha!

My experience has been mostly maintenance like changing cables, rubber bits and gaskets. I have altered the port timings, intake timing, squish and ignition timing on a couple of my Vespa's. So I'm down tinker but it needs to be semi depenable for my uncle.

How this one look to you guys? What do you reckon it'll need? I'm curious about the worst case scenario. Like engine rebuild... $200 in parts?
