Hodaka Days thank you - Better late than never

Post by gregg_floren »

It’s been almost two months since Hodaka Days wrapped up this year and I wanted to post a sincere thank you to all the people that made it possible before too much time passes. I hope I’m not too late!

I want to thank all the Hodaka Club board members and the Hodaka Days planning committee for their hard work that goes on all year. I want to thank all our sponsors who have donated so generously. I want to thank all the folks that volunteered to help with all the activities at the event from loading and unloading to designing T-shirts to flagging the MX and everything in between. And I want to thank the cities of Weston and Athena for their hospitality.

And, in particular, I want to thank everyone that made their way to Athena this year to attend. Without you there would be no point.

If you didn’t make it this year, in additional to the usual trail ride, poker run, swap meet, banquet, MX, trials, parade, and bike show, you missed some great weather and some special sights including Lee Fabry’s 125 Super Twin MX and Jack Broomall’s 1968 Daytona winner replica, a special tour of the construction of the Gem Theater and future home of the Hodaka Museum as well as a special presentation of some Peter Starr motosport films you can’t get on any DVD.

I’m still exhausted, but I had a great time. Hope you all did too. I hope you can make it next year!

Thanks again.

Gregg
