Thought I'd post a few photos of the finished bike. I also wanted to say a huge "THANKS" to any of you who helped out with tips, suggestions and answers to the numerous questions I asked here over the past few months. The restoration brought back a lot of memories; I only wish I had owned the tools I own today back in '75 when I was only a 15 year old kid. These things are much easier to work on when your toolbox contains more than the tools the bike shipped with! ;)

Believe it or not Roddy, the rear rack and tool box are original. Very slight pitting, so I left them alone for now. The story I got from the previous owner (I think I'm the third or fourth owner) was that the bike was purchased in 1975 by a guy who bought it for his two daughters to putt around on the farm with. They supposedly tired of the bike after the first summer and it then sat in a barn for almost 40 years. Other than a top end rebuild, carb rebuild, completely going over the electrical system and other small odds and ends...the rest of the project was cosmetic in nature (paint, etc.). I'm sure I'll eventually re-chrome things like the forks, shocks, etc., but for now I'm pretty happy with the bike. :)
