Question About Piston Snap Rings

Post by viclioce »

First question. Are the snap rings for the wrist pin the same size whether it's an ART piston or Wiseco piston for my Road Toad?

Second question. If they are, what's the secret to getting these G shaped snap rings into the holes on either side of the wrist pin?

I got the bearing and wrist pin in place and the piston is on the rod. But I can't for the life of me figure out how to get these darned wrist pin clips in place! Tips please!!!

Got them in with a second set of hands! Guess my old hands are just getting too weak! Thank you son in law! ; D Victor

Needle nose pliers... Some suggest shortening the 'tang' on the 'G' to reduce inertia action on them. Also, perhaps the open end should be on the top or bottom of the wrist pin opening.
