Rubber intake manifold fix

I seen over on the Facebook hodaka group that there was a discussion on how to fix a old rubber intake manifold. This has been a headache for me as I have got three new ones from a hodaka parts suppler that only lasted for about a hour before coming apart. This left me with making my own and this is what I came up with. First cut the old rubber carb adapter off from the aluminum center. I then put the aluminum center on the side of a 6 inch 3M wheel to smooth it up. Then I take a Kawasaki KZ200 manifold and drill out the stud holes from 6mm to 8mm. This manifold will work good for a carb up to 28mm.

Not a bad idea adapting a Mikunii manifold to the Hodie part. I saw something similar on the SH Facebook page, didn't note who the author was.

I also saw your post on FB. Great job! I may have to do the same thing to one of my RT intakes. ; D Victor

Good thinking
BTW, how does one get onto the FB group
I put in a request to join quite some time back, even asked on this site....nothing!
Do I have to know the secret handshake or what.
