I'm looking for a skid plate for a 1978 hodaka 250sl.

That's the second request for a 250 SL skid plate. I don't you think will find one, maybe on eBay. But, the 250 skid plate is a dead simple piece of bent sheet metal. I would just make one rather than search for one, in less you are building a museum piece. Get some 1/8" sheet aluminum, bend it by hand around a welding gas tank or similar object until it has the curve you need, drill some holes, and mount it. Might cost $5.

The bike I have only has 397 miles on it and I'm redoing it to museum specs

Sometimes building one is the only option. It doesn't look that complicated and you do have a new (maybe improved one) when you finish. Who's going to know when you are done? Draw it out and take it to an expert. Go for it.

I wish I could make it to hodaka days. But I just don't have enough funds to make the trip to there from wichita ks
