Thank you to Roger Karren who has graciously offered to help us get the dang spammers off this forum. While Roger is working on the forum these may be some downtime here the next day or so.
If you have tried to register and have not been able to please email me personally your username prior to trying to join. There are several hundred spammers each day trying to get into this forum and it is very hard for me to tell who is real and who is not. Hopefully with Roger's help we will have this solved shortly.

How strange that SH is being overrun with hackers. If they were using SH as a backdoor to get into another site they would certainly be a lot more subtle, so who knows "why".

OK, quick update: (no pun intended)

Updated to the 'latest and greatest' version, (I haven't seen any SPAM registration attempts yet... ::knock on wood::). Also installed a couple extensions to help with aesthetics and SPAM. The pleasant surprise is that the new version is mobile device friendly.

The red theme we had before is incompatible with this version so I'm still looking for a pre-configured theme. Otherwise, I'll have to edit the CSS files.

Otherwise, everything should be working as expected.

Thank you Roger. It is really good to see you tackle this issue. I have already noted that picture uploading in this version is a big improvement over the earlier version. I hope your efforts reduce the spam issues.
