Hodaka Commemorative Badges

I have a "Hodaka-- 50 Years" commemorative badge that I'm getting ready to place on the bike. Stock Hodaka tank badges are going on the tanks. '72 Wombat 94. Two or three spots picked out: 1) back of rear fender, just below the tag. BUT that spot gets terribly muddy, and I'm thinking of placing my (reflective) Hodaka Club sticker there. 2) Rear fender, higher up. Beneath the rear rack and ahead of the Tool Can. Niceley visible as long as the rack is empty. 3) Top of front fender, just ahead of the headlight. Much like a hood ornament. 4) on top of tank, behind the gas cap.

Any other ideas?

That 50th anniversary badge just might dress up the tool can lid or fixed end nicely. I have one on top of the tank behind gas cap covering up a blemish on the chrome. Adheres well there and fits reasonably flush on the relatively flat tank top but make sure to use a fuel proof adhesive. Found that one out the hard way. Regular trim adhesive - not so good.

Tool can would work. And it'd be neat and discrete.

I'm thinking that silicone caulk/adhesive (as suggested) would be best for the badges. Since the back of the badge is painted and shows through the transparent badge I'd be afeared that a solvent-based weatherstrip adhesive might affect the paint. And to fit the badge to a non-flat surface you could build up some thickness with the sili-caulk.

That's a lot better than a picky wench. I've tried that one too. Not good. Silicone is strong AND forgiving. Good call!

I recommend permatex RIGHT STUFF kinda expensive though
