Wheel lacing problem?

I laced up CWs front wheel last night with new Buchanan spokes I got from the site. When I tightened the nipples on the outside spokes, the heads pull out of the recessed holes on the inside of the hub. If I put a shim between the outside of the hub and the spoke and then tighten the nipples the fit is better. Anyone see this before with after market spokes?. I didn't have this issue on the rear wheel and was not expecting it. I'm going to tear it down again tonight in case I did something wrong. I'm also going to lube the nipples up good incase the spoke is twisting too much as I tighten then up . Any advice is , as always, appreciated.
Thanks
Bob

Hi Bob are the heads on the spokes to small ??
Please keep me posted on what you find. I am going through all the Buchanon spoke sets today and verifying all the specs.
There seems to be some issues with what we are ordering and what we are receiving lately.
Thank you
Paul
