Mystery skid plate

Post by rlkarren »

Can anyone tell me more about this? I know it's a skid plate but who made it?

It came on a (93) Super Rat I rescued from imminent destruction. I was wondering if it was something that was available to purchase or if it was fabricated by a PO. I suspect it's manufactured since I'd seen one before that looked identical, from what I could see.

Thanks in advance,

Roger, as a Hodaka dealer at that time, I sold or tried every accessory of the time for model 93s. It doesn't look familiar but that's my input. Probably not much help but I didn't want to leave you hangin'. ;)

If it was home built, then the guy either had some good machining tools or he was a machinist by trade and most likely made it at work. It would take a pretty good metal roller to put that curve I. The top of that plate! That wasn't pounded out for sure! ; D Victor
