Greetings all

Can anyone suggests a a simple, effective and accurate technique to balance wheels? Can it be done without removing the wheel and what type if weights would work best?

Thanks

Tom

Can be done on the bike as long as wheel freewheels. Start off with fishing sinkers and masking tape, tape weights on the high side till it stops randomly. Then take the weights off, and replace with stick on weights of same weight. Should be close.

Tom, I'm with Thrownchain, If the wheel has smooth bearings and is free-wheeling just add weight on the other side until it balances. A friend of mine gave me these stick on weights that he found on E-bay that seem to work. I've also wrapped solder wire around the spokes with good results. With our relative low speeds this should be accurate enough. Hope this helps!
