Amazing collection

Post by rtboone »

Greetings

I think that you might get a kick out seeing the collection of historic dirt bikes that Jim Hoellerich has put together.
No Hodaka's that I could see, but there are many fine examples of European brands that most of you will remember.

Tom,
JIm's museum is not far from where Paul and I live in Vermont and he is a good friend. I have known him for close to 50 years and he is as nice and honest a man as you could possibly find. He restored all of his bikes himself and they all run. His family farm was the site for both the 30th and 40th ISDT Reunion Ride and is a mecca for Vintage bike enthusiasts from all over the world. Thanks for posting the link. As far as I know there are no Hodaka's, although I have seen them on display at some of the events at his place. Mostly Paul's bikes I think.

Nice collection. I think that's a 94A Wombat at 1:57 on the far left.

I second what Ivan has said here. There is no finer a man than Jim. Great friend to all of us and we are proud to say we know him.
Iv he does have two chrome tank Dirt Squirts. One is in his museum across the street from the barn in the back downstairs room.
Any of you that subscribe to VMX magazine will see parts of Jim's collection throughout many issues of VMX.
Great link Tom thank you for sharing !!

Paul,
I stand corrected about the Hodaka's at Jim's museum. Looks like another trip to the Hoellerich farm is in order! :D
