Shock absorbers AND seat covers

If anybody will still talk to me after my last duck tape post!
I need some advice. I need a a good source for an aftermarket set of shocks for a wombat-dirt only and reasonably priced.

I also need the name of a good supplier for seat covers. The suppliers on E-Bay really run the range from good to incredibly bad.

Strictly Hodaka for both. Progressive shocks are probably the best for the price.

Strictly Hodaka seat covers even have "HODAKA" on the back.

Paul has what you need! Go to the Strictly Hodaka home page and look up by model number. OEM replacement seat covers are pretty easy to swap out! And there's several shocks to choose from. I have gas charged inverted on mine! ; D

I didn't want to be the first to comment but the shocks look upright to me. 8-)

They look like Super a Combat shocks to me, and it would appear that the reservoir is on the bottom.

Inverted or not, it looks like a showroom new bike. Nice work Vic.

 AZ, it depends on how you look at it. The picture I got was inverted which made the shocks right side up.When I took it off the screen the image was back to right side up. Weird. I copied the image twice and inverted one but they both posted inverted. How does everybody see these two pictures?

Yikes, when I click on Victor's original inverted picture, the larger version IS upright.

How does this look? I saved it to my desk top. Opened it, inverted it, then resaved to a new name.

Max,

To me the first is right side up, the second upside down. I have that problem all the time because of using an iPad. Don't know why.

Vic,

The differences between an 03 Wombat and the 95 Combat Wombat are these:

The 03 is reed induction, the CW isn't. Port specs on each are about identical except for the exhaust timing, where the CW has a bit more radical exhaust, 172.36 degrees for the 03 versus 179 for the CW That is not a lot of difference (2mm in port height), and I would not be surprised to see the 03 with the reeds run as strong as or stronger than the CW without. The CW had a 28mm Mikuni, the 03 a 26mm Mikuni. Putting the 28 Mikuni on the 03 won't by itself make a difference you can feel, except it might make it softer on the bottom end. If you use the 95 cylinder and use a larger carb than stock, for example a 32mm, and don't do a reed conversion I don't think you will like the result.

So it's up to you. Personally, I think the 03 is the better cylinder design and I would tend to work with that. If you want to use the 95, I would consider strongly doing a reed conversion.
