Paul, Yes it was very easy. I listed the steps that I used only because it looks like there might be other ways to accomplish the same thing. This is what I tried first and it was painless. The photo is 1.69 megabytes which is larger than we used to be able to post, but not very big by new camera standards. My picture started out at about 5.5 megabytes, but after some cropping it ended up at the 1.69 and it loaded just fine.
The site looks pretty good to me. Maybe that is because it matches my high school colors??? One thing that I have noted is that the icons to the right of each message entry are not readable. These are the icons to "Edit, Report or Reply". They are garbled until you mouse over them and you get a little popup with the text.

Patti,
That does seem simple and easy. I do note one difference. When the picture is added as an "attachment", people can mouse over the picture and select it, getting a blown up version of the photo. If you add the picture as an "image", you get just that. Interesting. So for most things, the image method would be good. For detail photos, the attachment method might be better.

OK for me Dale's way was easier. Regardless it seems much easier than the old forum. This will take some tweaking but we think this should be a better site for us all to use.
Photo is of Ken Smith's 2013 ISDTRR almost done.
Runs great. Just needs a few things and a bath.
Thank you

Testing with a weird stitched together pan of my new shop, a work in progress.
Paneling was salvaged/saved from a project in 1976. I bought new 2x4s for bench legs, some 1x4s for window trim, one sheet of pegboard. Everything else leftover/salvaged/saved including windows, light fixtures, beer signs, etc.
New site looks great. What's the max image size using this method? This one's only 843 kb, thought it would be bigger. Being able to download straight from my computer without having to post to photo-sharing site then link to here is a big improvement in my opinion.
Thanks! --Lee Webb

Lee, Your photo is small when reading this post, but if I select the picture, it opens up in a new window and I can see the fly on the wall. I think this is going to be a great improvement just for the picture options alone. The search feature seems pretty good too although there is not much in this database at this point...

I imagine we need to use the IMG link from photobucket to post a photo. I have one of the Mary Lou DS I will post once I attach it to my album.

What is the trick to upload more than one photo onto a post? I used to be able to do that on the old forum.
Thanks for your patience - I'm running out of mine.

You have to first select the attachment
Next you have to press the button "Place Inline"
The attachment Metisse.jpg is no longer available
The attachment Rickman.jpg is no longer available
Then press the Submit, or Preview button.
